Hardware Outlet Warranty

Our products carry a standard one year manufacturer warranty. Hardware Outlet warrants this product to be free from mechanical and material defects under normal residential use and conditions, for a period of one (1) year. Scratches, abrasions, or deterioration due to the use of cleaning agents, solvents or other chemicals are not covered under this warranty.

Polished Brass-Lifetime, Polished Nickel-Lifetime and Satin Brass Stainless Steel-Lifetime finishes carry a lifetime limited finish warranty. There is no finish warranty on Deep Burgundy, Flat Black Patina, Medium Bronze Patina, Polished White Bronze, Rust, Silver Patina, Tumbled White Bronze, and Unlacquered Brass finishes. All other finishes carry a five-year finish warranty. Scratches, abrasions, or deterioration due to the use of cleaning agents, solvents or other chemicals are not covered under this warranty.

  • We recommend that physical hardware be ordered and verified before starting any preparation, manufacturing or installation work.
  • All product installations must be done by qualified personnel using the proper mounting hardware for the appropriate surface or material.
  • We recommend that installers and manufacturers use the instructions inside the packaging provided by the manufacturer, as the manufacturer reserves the right to make technical changes, modify product or information without prior notice.
  • Do not exceed the maximum weight or dimensions recommended by the manufacturer.
  • All technical documents, drawings and instructions are provided as-is. Customers (primary or secondary) cannot derive any claim based on the use of these documents. No responsibility is or will be assumed.

Upon return of the defective product to Hardware Outlet for inspection, accompanied by the statement of defects and proof of purchase, at the discretion of Hardware Outlet, will either repair or replace the product, or refund the original retailer purchase price in exchange for the product.

Hardware Outlet Return Policy

We have a 10-day return policy which will be enforced for standard merchandise returns. All refunds will be credited back to the original method of payment. Your original shipping and handling charges are not refundable. 

If your purchase was eligible for free shipping, the shipping cost will be deducted from your credit or refund. Final Sale items are not eligible for return. 

All returned items must be in original packaging accompanied by the original packing slip or commercial invoice. All costs and charges associated with the return of any items such as postage is to be paid by the customer. 

If you believe an item is missing, damaged, defective, or incorrect, you must contact us at info@hardwareoutlet.ca within 10 days upon receipt of the package so that our customer care specialists can explain what steps need to be taken. 

How to start your return:

We're sorry your purchase didn't work out for you. To start a return, please contact us at info@hardwareoutlet.ca to obtain your RGA # (Return Goods Authorization Number).

To ensure your exchange or refund is processed as quickly as possible and help you avoid adjustment, please follow the checklist below:

  • Items must be returned in original condition including all accessories, documentation and packaging materials
  • For missing or damaged orders, please provide detailed images
  • Please use a return shipping method that is trackable, such as Purolator, UPS or Fedex
